DO SOMETHING THAT SCARES YOU

9:07 AM

It has been nine months since I launched this blog.  During the past nine months, I have been creating fine jewelry behind the scenes, giving you some sneak peaks along the way.  After this gestation, and similar to having a real baby, I'm ready to deliver my latest baby - my jewelry collection.

I'm most definitely one of those people who strives for personal growth every day. I try to do something scary as much as possible, although that alone is scary.  I have been very serious in my design and launch of this collection. Calculated even.  But I admit the being scared.  I relive the joy I feel when I find that perfect piece of fine jewelry, or every time I perfect my design.  I want every piece of my collection to become the right piece, for someone.  I know it's hard to transmit the details, heft, and emotion of trying on an actual piece of jewelry through the computer, but it's all there, I promise you.  I've tested models, re-built designs, asked for advice, educated myself, fought hard, and did not cut corners on quality.  But, mostly, I've hoarded my fine jewelry for almost two years now.  Yes, two years!  I haven't shown you much of what's come off the bench, what's hidden in my drawers, and where I'm heading.  I'm good like that.  But, I'm happy I've taken my time, and I'm proud to put my name on this collection when it's ready for release.  I'm scared. But excited.

I know, we are all getting a little impatient around here....

Recently, I had the opportunity to start shooting pictures of my fine jewelry myself (GULP!) in a professional studio.  Through the lens of cameras borrowed from my generous friend and an unbelievable mentorship program, I am able to express my inspiration not only through jewelry, but in the images I create.  As you know, I do love to take a photo! So, as I jump behind the lens over the next few weeks, tackling each design, and capturing the sparkling reflections of the expertly crafted details in my collection, I hope it will remind and inspire you of your own fire and brilliance enough to move you to add to your own personal collection and celebrate yourself.

It's an intimate thing, the launch, this collection - and it's almost here.
