LONGEVITY

When I started this journey myself, I wanted to name my fine jewelry line : Longevity

After much consideration, I decided to use my own name, and keep this blog (formally named Longevity Jewelry) as the creative outlet which will accompany my website.

Since the beginning of time, jewelry has been a means of expression through its personal adornment. It has also been used for protection, luck, status symbols, and, of course, it is now most often used to mark life's most precious moments and milestones. Jewelry can last many lifetimes, passing from one generation to another.  Fine jewelry can exist at various price points, and with the popular resurgence of antique and estate jewelry, it is an important reminder of our collective past and one-of-a-kind treasures.

Jewelry will continue to experience longevity as long as people exist – we are needed for the creation of each piece. It requires skilled artisans and craftsmen to deliver an idea from conception through the final piece that will ultimately be a special part of our own personal history.

Jewelry will always be acquired by someone, for someone, and each piece has a specific story to tell.  From the recesses of earth where the gold was mined, to the imagination of its creators, to the hidden lore of the stones; from the benches of goldsmiths, to the glistening retail case and the beautifully stylized magazine, each piece represents a journey of passion and creativity by mankind before it comes to rest on your limbs and in your jewelry box.

We love to learn from our collectors and jewelry lovers alike, so please check back for my posts, leave comments, and learn what inspires me in this jewel-filled world.
