TEN THINGS : ABOUT ME
8:43 AM
My still trending 20 Questions post was popular, it was a fun way to learn a little more - about me. So, I figured I would answer the newest questions from the May issue of Marie Claire's 20 Questions featuring Mindy Kaling. Let me know if we have anything in common by leaving me a comment and or a link to your own questions if you answer them too. Enjoy!
1 .What is your pet peeve? Passive-Aggressive personalities, what an enormous waste of energy!
2. What is the best advice you have been given? It's funny, (yet on point advice) given to a room of a few hundred people at a comedy show. Comedian Jay Mohr said : "In order to have a successful marriage, you just have to hate the same things!" I've been married almost 10 years, and it is one of the most simple, yet truest things. We both thought that was very funny. I guess it helps to share the same sense of humor too.
3. What app can you not live without? Instagram. It is quick, inspiring, and doesn't leave you with the bad feelings of other social media outlets.
4. What TV show can't you miss? Hannibal on Friday nights on NBC.
5. What charities do you support? As a family we do a lot of charity work for underprivileged kids, education, and we continuously give to cancer research.
6. What is your beauty secret? Serums and masks! Your skin is so important, it's the first thing people can see. If your skin is glowing, so are you.
7. What splurge is well worth it? Anything that makes you feel beautiful or happy every time you come across or experience it's benefits. It could be a daily latte, jewelry, furniture, professional portrait of your family, or the extra time you carve out for yourself.
8. What is on your bookshelf? I just finished reading 'You Should Have Known' by Jean Hanff Korelitz. I'm ready for a new book and taking recommendations.
9. What makes you cry? The new song by John Legend, All of Me. Every time it comes on it makes me cry - like puddles. The lyrics are brilliant. Watch the video here.
10. What was your favorite vacation? Last winter my husband and I chartered a bare boat catamaran in the Caribbean with our kids. We cruised around from island to island, explored the sea, caves, many a happy hour, and totally unplugged.
Now it's your turn. Happy Friday!
