THE SCENE OF THE CRIME

9:32 PM

Late nights run into mornings that stretch into afternoons...I am always working even if you don't see it in my instagram feed, social media status updates or jaunts about town. On the phone with suppliers/finishers in the grocery store or the pick up line at school, it is a constant work in progress towards perfection.  I wouldn't want it any other way, I truly love what I do.

Although jewelry is transformative once worn, I have to tell you, the actual creation of a collection is not that glamorous.  Not by a long shot.  Here are some behind the scene photos, or as I like to call it The Scene of the Crime.

Every shot a balancing act.  The "runway" of images for instagram, because you would never actually wear this many rings, would you??  These stackable beauties went to live in a jewelry boutique in sunny California!  (more on that in a future post)

Tape, paper, and a pipe...grab anything to hold that jewelry in place.
It's not in your frame anyway.

     Disrobe the day's jewelry STAT!
Because when you are writing serious content that requires note taking (and stealing index cards from your son's school supplies) all jewelry gets in your way.
Don't judge me.

Image editing.  Yeah, that's when you beg and plead your friend for help.

Diamonds.  Living and breathing diamonds. Information overload.  Lots of coffee and tea.
On the couch, in waiting rooms (again - in the pick up line) and all hours of the day.
Study until you see stars, star facets that is...

I'm finished now (20 chapters later) and enjoying these pajamas sans the stress.
Backgammon, anyone?

Just a tiny screen shot of the past few months of this wonderful journey.
Thanks for tagging along!
